🧭 Important Instructions for Participants – Narasimha Parvatha Trek
This is a real trek in a remote, forested terrain – not a sightseeing trip. Participants are expected to come prepared, physically and mentally, for an adventurous, no-frills trekking experience.
🚨 Important Notes
- This is not a leisure trip or a typical tourist outing.
- Be mentally prepared for muddy trails, slippery slopes, dense forest paths, and physical strain.
- Come with the mindset of a trekker – patience, adaptability, and team spirit are essential.
- Moderate physical fitness is required – the trail includes ascents, long walks (18+ km total), and rough terrain.
- There are no luxury comforts – expect basic facilities, rustic charm, and raw nature.
🏡 Accommodation Details
- Stay is arranged in simple hotel or homestay rooms at Agumbe.
- Rooms are on sharing basis, separate for men and women.
- Rooms are basic, clean, and functional – perfect for resting, not luxury.
- Participants must bring their own towel, toiletries, and essentials.
🥾 Trek Specific Information
- Trek distance: ~18 KM total(Approx. 9 KM uphill to summit from Malandur base, descent via Kigga)
- Trek route passes through dense forest, leech zones, and uneven terrain.
- Carry sufficient water (minimum 2L) and snacks.
- Packed lunch will be provided on Day 2.
- local guides will accompany for safety.

- Trekking shoes with good grip (mandatory)
- Backpack (20–30L) – no trolley bags
- Reusable water bottle (2L min) – no disposable plastic
- Rain protection: Poncho/raincoat
- Flashlight/headlamp
- Extra pair of clothes and quick-dry towel
- Full-sleeve t-shirt and track pants – for protection from insects
- Cap, sunglasses, sunscreen
- Personal medicines, sanitary items
- Power bank
- Energy bars/snacks/dry fruits
- Garbage bag – Leave No Trace!

🕘 Important Timings
- Day 1 Pickup: 8:00 AM from Udupi Railway Station (Please have breakfast beforehand)
- Day 2 Trek Start: 7:30 AM from Agumbe to Malandur base
- Day 2 Drop: By 9:30 PM at Udupi Railway Station (Plan return tickets accordingly)

A participant will be refunded his/her paid fees after deducting the following cancellation fees.

- Alternatively, a registered participant may transfer his/her registration to a friend without any cancellation fee.
- In case of cancellation of the program due to any gov restrictions due to COVID/ Weather, an alternate date will be provided for the same trip and no refund for that.
- In case you are not able to join the trek on the new dates, either you can send a replacement ( Without any additional cost) / You can opt for Wallet transfer,
- What is Wallet Transfer ?: The amount will move to LGFC Wallet and you can use that for any other trip. ( 3% fee will be deducted as movement charges) . Strictly there won’t be any refund to a bank account.
- Wallet transfer is applicable only for the case when a participant wont be able to join the new date on a postponed trip due to Pandemic / Weather situations
- The wallet transfer offer will only be one time , when the new date is announced. Further changes will be counted as normal cancellations and will be as per cancellation policy.
- Installments are to be paid before the due dates.
- In case when 2 or more installments are pending after the due date, the order will be auto-cancelled.
- There will be no refund in case of auto cancellation due to nonpayment of installments.

- Please avoid high heeled sandals , as they have a risk of falling when doing hiking

- This would ensure that you wont lose the fun , even if it rains

- We recommend using reusable water bottles
- Leech Socks
- You may order Leech socks on Amazon . You may check this sample item. or order a similar one.
- You may also make a Leech socks at home. Follow this blog in malayalam about this. Don’t use jeans material as in the demo , you may use a decent cotton pants for this instead.
- A small bag to carry raincoat , water bottle , snacks , etc.
- Medicines
- Carry all your daily use medicines
- Carry medicines for any ailments or allergies you have faced
- Energizers and Snacks
- Energizers such as chocolate , peanut bars , dry fruits will give quick energy especially when walking
