Upon arriving in Barkot/Karsali immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere and complete the hassle-free check-in process at your chosen hotel or camp. Take advantage of the remainder of the day to relax and acclimate to the higher altitude, ensuring you are well-prepared for the upcoming mountain trek to Yamunotri. After a wholesome breakfast or packed breakfast, set out at 5/6 am for the sacred pilgrimage to Yamunotri. The journey begins with a drive to Hanuman Chatti (36/9 km) and further to Janki Chatti (5 km), the starting point of the First Dham Yatra to Yamunotri. Commence the 5 km trek through lush green valleys, adorned with conifers, rhododendrons, and various Himalayan shrubs. For added convenience, consider hiring a Doli or a horse for the trek (Cost Not Included). Yamunotri, positioned at an altitude of 3,291 meters, stands as the westernmost shrine among the Char Dhams, with the majestic Bandarpunch (6,361 m) dominating the landscape. This sacred site is revered as the source of the Yamuna River, the twin sister of Varna, the Lord of Death, and the daughter of Surya, the Sun. The actual origin of the river lies in the Champasar Glacier, located 1 km ahead of the shrine, at an elevation of 4,321 meters. Upon reaching Yamunotri by afternoon, partake in the purifying ritual of a holy dip in the pristine waters of the Yamuna River. Covering a distance of 97 km, the journey takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, offering enchanting views along the way. Gangotri, nestled at an elevation of 3048 meters, is a sacred destination where the River Ganges, known as Bhagirathi at its origin, holds immense religious significance. Upon reaching Gangotri, partake in the sanctifying ritual of a holy dip in the Ganges and pay a visit to the revered Gangotri Temple. This 18th-century temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga is situated near a sacred stone where King Bhagirathi is believed to have worshipped Lord Shiva. Upon reaching Sonprayag, commence the challenging yet spiritually enriching 20 km trek to the sacred destination of Kedarnath. For added convenience, you have the option to hire a Doli or a horse for the trek (Cost Not Included). The trek unfolds along the mesmerizing route where Mandakini, one of the primary tributaries of the Ganges, originates at Kedarnath and flows through Gaurikund. Pilgrims accompany you, their chants of "Jai Bholenath" creating a harmonious atmosphere. The journey is adorned with misty mountains that occasionally reveal their shiny, blinding-white peaks, evoking a sense of awe. Upon arriving in Kedarnath, check in at the Camps/Lodges. In the pre-dawn hours, awaken early and, after refreshing yourself with a bath, make your way to the Kedarnath Shiva Temple by 4:45 am for the sacred 'Abhishek' ceremony. This special ritual allows everyone to enter the Garbha Griha, touch the idol, and partake in other devotional practices, such as prostration with your head touching the deity. Following the darshan and puja, exit the temple and return to the Govt. Camps/Lodges. Subsequently, embark on the return trek of 20 km from Kedarnath to Sonprayag. Vehicles will be waiting for you at the Sonprayag Car Parking, from where you will drive back to your hotel or camps in Guptkashi. Enjoy a hearty dinner and spend the night in Guptkashi, reflecting on the spiritual experiences of the day and the divine blessings received at Kedarnath.

Guptkashi to Pandukeshwar via Joshimath (158 KM: 7 TO 8 HRS)
This morning, complete the check-out process from the hotel in Guptkashi and commence a scenic drive to Pandukeshwar via Joshimath. The journey covers a distance of 158 km and takes approximately 7 to 8 hours, traversing through captivating Ghat roads. En route, you will pass through the charming town of Joshimath before arriving at the sacred destination of Badrinath (ensure crossing Govindghat before 5:30 pm). On reaching Badrinath, check in at the hotel. After a brief period of rest and refreshments, prepare to visit the revered Badrinath Temple for darshan in the evening. Before heading to the temple, make a visit to Tapt Kund (Hot Spring), where you can take a purifying bath.     • In case of cancellation of the program due to any gov restrictions due to COVID/ Weather, an alternate date will be provided for the same trip and no refund for that.
    • In case you are not able to join the trek on the new dates, either you can send a replacement ( Without any additional cost) / You can opt for Wallet transfer,
      • What is Wallet Transfer?:  The amount will move to LGFC Wallet and you can use that for any other trip.  ( 3% fee will be deducted as movement charges) . Strictly there won’t be any refund to a bank account.
      • Wallet transfer is applicable only for the case when a participant won’t be able to join the new date on a postponed trip due to Pandemic / Weather situations
