Chimmini Climate Walk is a unique 12 km guided forest trekking experience in Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary, Kerala, designed for those who love exploring diverse terrains and changing forest landscapes. With a moderate to difficult difficulty level, this trek takes you through different forest ecosystems, including deciduous forests, semi-evergreen forests and evergreen forests, along with open grassland viewpoints and drier terrain. The trek is called a Climate Walk because trekkers can experience the changing conditions of the forest as they move through different landscapes, observing variations in vegetation, shade, moisture and dryness along the route. This immersive forest experience offers a deeper connection with nature beyond a regular trek, making it ideal for adventure seekers, nature lovers and experienced trekkers. Why It’s Called Climate Walk
The Climate Walk takes you through different forest ecosystems and terrain conditions.
As you trek, you can experience the transition between:
Evergreen Forest → Semi-Evergreen Forest → Deciduous Forest → Grassland Viewpoint → Evergreen Forest → Drier Terrain
Every section offers a different experience of vegetation, shade, moisture and landscape.

Important Note:
- Please ensure you reach the pickup point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
- If you are arriving by train or bus, we strongly recommend booking one that arrives at least 1 hour before the pickup time. This buffer will help avoid any inconvenience due to potential delays and will give you time to freshen up or grab a tea before the journey begins.

Cancellation Policy
A registered participant may cancel his/ her registration online and inform the camp coordinators. The paid fees will be returned after deduction of the following cancellation fees.

- Alternatively, a registered participant may transfer his/her registration to a friend without any cancellation fee.
- In case of cancellation of the program due to any gov restrictions due to COVID/ Weather, an alternate date will be provided for the same trip and no refund for that.
- In case you are not able to join the trek on the new dates, either you can send a replacement ( Without any additional cost) / You can opt for Wallet transfer,
- What is Wallet Transfer: The amount will move to LGFC Wallet and you can use that for any other trip. ( 3% fee will be deducted as movement charges) . Strictly there won’t be any refund to a bank account.
- Wallet transfer is applicable only for the case when a participant wont be able to join the new date on a postponed trip due to Pandemic / Weather situations
- The wallet transfer offer will only be one time , when the new date is announced. Further changes will be counted as normal cancellations and will be as per cancellation policy.
