Avantipura: Stop at Avantipura, an important archaeological site associated with the ancient history of Kashmir. Explore the remains of the historic temples and learn about the region's cultural heritage. Cricket Bat Making: Experience the traditional Kashmiri cricket-bat-making industry. The region is known for bats made from willow wood. Depending on workshop availability, observe how willow is shaped and transformed into cricket bats. Local Shopping: Visit local shops selling Kashmiri saffron (kesar), dry fruits and other regional products. You can learn about these products directly from local sellers and shop according to your preference. Pahalgam: Explore this beautiful valley situated along the Lidder River, known for its mountain scenery, pine forests and river landscapes. Aru Valley: Visit Aru Valley, a peaceful mountain settlement surrounded by forests and dramatic Himalayan landscapes. It is also known for its meadows and trekking routes. Betaab Valley: Visit Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood film Betaab, which was filmed in the region. During December, the landscape can transform into a winter setting with snow-covered mountains depending on weather conditions.Spend the day exploring accessible areas of Sonmarg and enjoying the winter scenery. Sonamarg Tunnel: The Sonamarg Tunnel, also known as the Z-Morh Tunnel, is an important infrastructure project designed to improve year-round connectivity towards Sonmarg and through the challenging Himalayan terrain.Sightseeing around Sonmarg and access to specific areas will depend on weather, snow conditions, road conditions and local regulations at the time of travel.Return to Srinagar by evening. |

- Costs arising from weather delays, roadblocks, or flight rescheduling
❄️ Winter Travel Preparation & Tips
- Temperature: Ranges from 5°C to 10°C; nights are cold.
- Clothing: Carry thermals, heavy woolens, gloves, mufflers, caps, and waterproof shoes.
- Skincare: Bring lip balm, moisturizer, and sunglasses to handle the dry and bright snow conditions.
- Power Supply: Occasional cuts may occur; carry a power bank for devices.
- Health: Carry medicines for cold, fever, and altitude adjustment.
- Cash: ATMs may not always work in snow areas — keep some cash handy.
- Connectivity: Networks may fluctuate in Gulmarg and Pahalgam.
- Food: Try local winter delicacies like Harissa, Rogan Josh, Gushtaba, and Kahwa tea.
- Respect Local Culture: Kashmiris are warm and welcoming — a smile and polite gesture go a long way.
- Adventure: Snow conditions can affect timing or accessibility of activities, so flexibility is key.
🏔️ Important Notes
- Gulmarg remains completely snow-covered in December – perfect for skiing and snow activities.
- The Gondola ride can be booked online or at the counter (Phase I to Kongdori, Phase II to Apharwat).
- Chain vehicles are mandatory during heavy snow and are not included in your package for the Tangmarg–Gulmarg route and sonmarg .
- Due to heavy snow, vehicles may switch to local snow-chain jeeps near Tangmarg — our driver will assist you.
- Wear waterproof shoes and warm layers as temperatures often drop below freezing.
- If number of travellers are below 12 , we will have local coordiantor at Kashmir . Other wise there will be dedicated LGFC coordinator

Cancellation Fees

- Alternatively, a registered participant may transfer his/her registration to a friend without any cancellation fee.
- In case of cancellation of the program due to any gov restrictions due to COVID/ Weather, an alternate date will be provided for the same trip and no refund for that.
- In case you are not able to join the trek/trip on the new dates, either you can send a replacement ( Without any additional cost) / You can opt for Wallet transfer,
- What is Wallet Transfer ?: The amount will move to LGFC Wallet and you can use that for any other trip. ( 3% fee will be deducted as movement charges) . Strictly there won’t be any refund to a bank account.
- Wallet transfer is applicable only for the case when a participant wont be able to join the new date on a postponed trip due to Pandemic / Weather situations
- The wallet transfer offer will only be one time , when the new date is announced. Further changes will be counted as normal cancellations and will be as per cancellation policy.
- Installments are to be paid before the due dates.
- In case when 2 or more installments are pending after the due date, the order will be auto-cancelled.
- There will be no refund in case of auto cancellation due to nonpayment of installments.
