Extra Information
β οΈ Important Points for Trekkers
- This is not a sightseeing trip β it is meant for serious trekkers who are passionate about nature, wilderness camps, and adventure.
- Participants must be physically fit and capable of walking up to 20 km in a single day through uphill and downhill terrain.
- Alcohol, smoking, and narcotic substances are strictly prohibited during the trip.
π₯ Campfire & Weather
- Campfires are not permitted as the camp is inside a protected National Park.
- Weather can change suddenly β rain is common, so carry rain gear and waterproof packing.
π° Costs & Changes
- Any additional expenses due to weather, personal health, or travel delays must be borne by the participant.
- Coordinators have the right to modify the plan for safety or unforeseen circumstances.
β Cancellation Policy
- No refund in case of camp cancellation due to bad weather or natural calamities. A new date will be provided.
- If cancelled due to government restrictions (e.g., COVID-19), the trip will be rescheduled, not refunded.
- No amount will be transferred to personal accounts in case of cancellation.

- Participants should be in good physical condition to complete long-distance trekking.

- Accommodation will be in forest dormitories.
- Separate dorms for men and women.
- No couple rooms available.

- Only vegetarian food will be provided throughout the trip.
πΏ Environment & Wildlife
- Be prepared for leech presence, especially during monsoon or wet conditions.
- Do not litter or harm the environment β follow Leave No Trace principles.
π National Park Guidelines
- All participants must strictly follow the rules of Silent Valley National Park and cooperate with forest officials.
π₯ Minimum Participant Requirement
- Minimum of 15 participants required to conduct the trip.
- If the minimum number is not met:
- Full amount will be refunded, OR
- Participant can choose another LetsGoForACamp trip.

Cancellation Policy
A registered participant may cancel his/ her registration online and inform the camp coordinators. The paid fees will be returned after deduction of the following cancellation fees.

- Alternatively, a registered participant may transfer his/her registration to a friend without any cancellation fee.
- In case of cancellation of the program due to any gov restrictions due to COVID/ Weather, an alternate date will be provided for the same trip and no refund for that.
- In case you are not able to join the trek on the new dates, either you can send a replacement ( Without any additional cost) / You can opt for Wallet transfer,
- What is Wallet Transfer ?:Β The amount will move to LGFC Wallet and you can use that for any other trip.Β ( 3% fee will be deducted as movement charges) . Strictly there wonβt be any refund to a bank account.
- Wallet transfer is applicable only for the case when a participant wont be able to join the new date on a postponed trip due to Pandemic / Weather situations
- The wallet transfer offer will only be one time , when the new date is announced. Further changes will be counted as normal cancellations and will be as per cancellation policy.
- Installments are to be paid before the due dates.
- In case when 2 or more installments are pending after the due date, the order will be auto-cancelled.
- There will be no refund in case of auto cancellation due to nonpayment of installments.
Following are the list of things that are recommended to be carried for this trip
- Dresses β
- Carry comfortable dresses for trekking
- For outdoors its is better to avoid jeans as it might get too heavy if wet
- Extra clothes
- Trekking Shoes (preferred) / Trekking Sandals with good grip
- Please avoid high-heeled sandals , as they have a risk of falling when doing hiking
- Trekking pole β Advised for first time trekkers and those who have balancing issues or difficulty in ascend/decend
- Plastic bag for carrying back any wet clothes
- Raincoats / Ponchos
- This would ensure that you won’t lose the fun , even if it rains
- Water bottles
- We recommend using reusable water-bottles
- Leach Socks
- You may order leach socks on Amazon . You may checkΒ this sample item.Β or order a similar one.
- You may also make a leach socks at home. FollowΒ this blog in malayalamΒ about this.Β Donβt use jeans material as in the demo , you may use a decent cotton pants for this instead.
- A small bag to carry raincoat , waterbottle , snacks , etc.
- Medicines
- Carry all your daily use medicines
- Carry medicines for any ailments or allergies you have faced
- Energizers and Snacks
- Energizers such as chocolate , peanut bars , dry fruits will give quick energy especially when walking
- Snacks β light and non oily snacks would be good
- Toiletries
- There won’t be any toiletries that would be provided at the stay

- We won’t be providing towels at the stay.
