⚠️ Things to Know Before You Book This Trip
🛏️ Stay & Comfort
- Stay will be in basic Agumbe homestays or hotels – not luxury accommodations.
- Rooms are provided on a sharing basis only (twin/triple/quad/More ) — no couple rooms available.
- All rooms have attached bathrooms, but no toiletries are provided – please carry your own.
- Towels are not provided – make sure to bring your own.
- Facilities are minimal, offering a simple and local living experience.
🥾 Trek & Activity Focus
- This is a trekking and nature-focused trip — not suitable for those seeking comfort-focused or resort-style vacations.
- Participants must be in good physical condition, as treks range from 3 to 10 km through uneven forest terrain.
- Not suitable for people with mobility issues or those who are not comfortable with long walks or humid conditions.

- All meals will be Karnataka-style — simple, local, and prepared with regional ingredients.
- Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options will be available as per local availability.
- Special dietary preferences (vegan, Jain, etc.) must be informed in advance but cannot be guaranteed.

📌 General Guidelines
- This is an eco-sensitive destination — no plastic waste, no loud music, no disturbance to wildlife.
- Mobile signal is weak or unavailable in most areas — best enjoyed as a digital detox.
- Itinerary may vary slightly due to weather or forest department regulations.
- Minimum age: 10+ years (must be physically fit and mentally prepared for treks).
- Participants are expected to be punctual, respectful to locals, and follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
- Please ensure you reach the pickup point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. If you are arriving by train or bus, we strongly recommend booking one that arrives at least 1 hour before the pickup time. This buffer helps avoid any inconvenience due to potential delays and gives you time to freshen up or grab a tea before the journey begins.

- Alternatively, a registered participant may transfer his/her registration to a friend without any cancellation fee.
- In case of cancellation of the program due to any gov restrictions due to COVID/ Weather, an alternate date will be provided for the same trip and no refund for that.
- In case you are not able to join the trek on the new dates, either you can send a replacement ( Without any additional cost) / You can opt for Wallet transfer,
- What is Wallet Transfer ?: The amount will move to LGFC Wallet and you can use that for any other trip. ( 3% fee will be deducted as movement charges) . Strictly there won’t be any refund to a bank account.
- Wallet transfer is applicable only for the case when a participant wont be able to join the new date on a postponed trip due to Pandemic / Weather situations
- The wallet transfer offer will only be one time , when the new date is announced. Further changes will be counted as normal cancellations and will be as per cancellation policy.
- Installments are to be paid before the due dates.
- In case when 2 or more installments are pending after the due date, the order will be auto-cancelled.
- There will be no refund in case of auto cancellation due to nonpayment of installments.

No, Pick up point is from Mangalore. We have train and bus to Mangalore. You can choose your own comfortable mode of transport from Kerala.

- For outdoors its is better to avoid jeans as it might get too heavy if wet
- Sandals with good grip
- Please avoid high heeled sandals , as they have a risk of falling when doing hiking
- Plastic bag for carrying back any wet clothes
- Raincoats / Ponchos
- This would ensure that you wont lose the fun , even if it rains
- Water bottles
- We recommend using reusable waterbottles
- Leach Socks
- You may order leach socks on Amazon . You may check this sample item. or order a similar one.
- You may also make a leach socks at home. Follow this blog in malayalam about this. Don’t use jeans material as in the demo , you may use a decent cotton pants for this instead.
- A small bag to carry raincoat , waterbottle , snacks , etc.
